The Hollister New Image FlexWear Convex Barrier (14403) is a cut-to-fit 38 mm barrier for flush or retracted stomas using integrated convexity and FlexWear hydrocolloid. Tape border and floating flange support extended, leak-resistant wear.

A flush or retracted stoma presents a consistent sealing challenge: without a barrier design that actively encourages protrusion and fills the gap between the stoma and the wafer, output finds channels under the barrier edge and compromises the seal before wear time is complete. The Hollister New Image FlexWear Convex Barrier 14403 is designed specifically to resolve this. The integrated convexity provides consistent inward pressure at the stoma base that promotes better outward protrusion, tightening the peristomal interface without rigid force. FlexWear™ hydrocolloid is formulated to resist breakdown from both liquid and solid output, extending wear time significantly beyond standard hydrocolloid materials and reducing the frequency of barrier changes. The cut-to-fit opening can be sized up to 1-1/2" (38 mm), giving users precise control over the stoma opening size to accommodate changing stoma dimensions or non-standard shapes. The integrated floating flange absorbs the pressure of pouch connection and disconnection away from the abdominal skin, and the tape border reinforces the barrier perimeter for added wear security. Compatible with all New Image two-piece pouches at the 2-1/4" (57 mm) flange. Latex-free.
Colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy users with flush, retracted, or recessed stomas requiring a cut-to-fit convex barrier for a reliable peristomal seal
Users experiencing recurrent leakage or output erosion who need an extended wear barrier solution with customisable stoma sizing
Stoma users with non-standard or changing stoma dimensions where a cut-to-fit opening provides greater precision than a pre-cut product
Active users requiring a durable, extended wear barrier resistant to output breakdown during high-activity daily routines
Post-operative ostomy patients whose stoma size is still stabilising and who benefit from the adjustability of a cut-to-fit opening
Home care and long-term care clients where extended wear barriers reduce the frequency of caregiver-assisted barrier changes
Cutting: Using a stoma measuring guide, mark the required opening size on the barrier — up to a maximum of 1-1/2" (38 mm). Cut carefully to avoid jagged edges. The opening should accommodate the stoma without pressing against the mucosa.
Application: Remove the backing from the barrier. Warm briefly in your hands to soften the FlexWear hydrocolloid. Centre over the stoma and press from the centre outward, smoothing the tape border firmly to the skin.
Pouch Connection: Align the New Image pouch flange with the barrier flange and press firmly until the coupling ring locks securely into position.
Wear Time: FlexWear barriers are designed for extended multi-day wear. Change when leakage occurs, when the barrier begins to lift, or at the interval recommended by your stoma care nurse — typically every 3–5 days.
Removal: Apply an adhesive remover spray to the barrier edge. Allow to penetrate before peeling back slowly from the outer edge toward the stoma. Never forcibly peel without preparation.
Note: For use under the guidance of a stoma care nurse or healthcare provider. Confirm that convexity and the correct cut-to-fit size are appropriate for your stoma type before use.

Very welcoming and informative. We went in to rent a Walker for my mom to see if she would use it. They had no rentals left so he gave us a brand new one on rental. Highly recommend this company for all your ADL needs.
