The ResMed AirMini flexible tubing serves two structurally distinct functions that are both essential to AirMini travel CPAP operation, and that a single tube component must satisfy simultaneously. The first function is therapy pressure delivery: the tubing is the pressurised airway that carries the AutoSet therapy pressure from the AirMini's output port to the mask interface, maintaining the prescribed delivery pressure across the tube length without the resistance or compliance losses that would reduce the pressure arriving at the mask below the therapeutic level the device has calculated. The AirMini's reduced-diameter tube cross-section is a consequence of the device's miniaturisation design — the narrower tube allows the AirMini system to achieve its compact travel form factor — and the tube's internal geometry is calibrated to the AirMini's pressure compensation algorithm, which accounts for the resistance characteristics of this specific tube specification when calculating the output pressure required to deliver the prescribed therapy pressure at the mask. Replacing the AirMini's tube with a standard 22 mm CPAP tube is not possible — the connector geometry is incompatible — and substituting any other tube specification would introduce resistance and compliance characteristics outside the AirMini's pressure compensation calibration range, potentially resulting in delivery pressure that does not correspond to the therapy pressure the device intends to deliver.
The second function the AirMini tubing must satisfy simultaneously is system compatibility — functioning as the physical integration component that connects the AirMini device output, the HumidX waterless humidification pathway, and the mask setup pack connector in the correct mechanical and flow geometry the AirMini system requires. The AirMini's humidification architecture is fundamentally different from that of standard CPAP machines: rather than a water chamber humidifier positioned at the device output, the AirMini uses a HumidX or HumidX Plus heat and moisture exchange cartridge positioned within the mask setup pack connector — in the tube-to-mask connection — where it captures moisture from the patient's exhaled breath and returns it to the inhaled therapy airstream. This HME cartridge is housed within the setup pack connector at the mask end of the AirMini tubing, and the tubing's mask-end connector geometry is designed to interface with the setup pack connector that contains the HumidX cartridge. The AirMini tube is not simply a pressure conduit — it is the connection component whose mask-end geometry determines whether the HumidX humidification mechanism is correctly integrated into the therapy airstream path. Standard 22 mm CPAP tubing with a standard elbow connector does not interface with the AirMini setup pack's HumidX connector geometry, which is why AirMini mask use requires the specific setup pack tubing and connector rather than adapting a standard CPAP tube to the AirMini output.
The 5 ft 9 in length of the AirMini tubing reflects the travel use context in which the AirMini is designed to operate. A standard home CPAP tube length of 6 feet is designed for use with a machine positioned on a bedside table or floor beside the bed, at distances that vary with bedroom furniture layout. The AirMini travel tube at 5 ft 9 in is dimensionally similar to the standard 6-foot length, accommodating the variety of hotel room, accommodation, and travel sleep environments where the AirMini user will place the device on a nightstand, windowsill, or surface adjacent to the sleeping area. The marginal difference from the standard 6-foot length does not practically restrict the range of AirMini placement options in the typical travel accommodation context — the tube length is sufficient for the standard bedside surface placement at the range of distances encountered in typical hotel room and accommodation configurations.
The slim, lightweight construction of the AirMini tube supports the mask stability function that the AirMini's travel use context requires. The free-hanging segment of the tube between the mask elbow and the first surface contact point exerts a rotational force on the mask frame during side sleeping, and the mass of this hanging segment determines the magnitude of this force. A lighter, slimmer tube reduces the mass of the free-hanging segment and therefore the rotational mask displacement force it generates — a consideration that applies equally in the home CPAP context but that has additional significance in the travel context, where the patient is using the AirMini in unfamiliar sleeping environments, may not have their established headgear adjustment as a reference point, and may be sleeping on different pillow depths or mattress firmness levels that modify the tube routing and its interaction with the mask connection.
✓ AirMini tube replacement after wear or damage — replacement when the installed AirMini tube shows cracking, connector degradation, or kinking that compromises its integrity, restoring the AirMini system's pressure delivery accuracy and HumidX pathway connection
✓ Spare tube for extended travel — second AirMini tube carried during extended travel periods as a backup for immediate system restoration if the primary tube is lost, damaged, or left behind at a previous accommodation
✓ AirMini setup for new users — replacement or additional tube for patients establishing a new AirMini system who require a spare tube for the travel bag in addition to the tube included in the mask setup pack
✓ Tube separation from setup pack — AirMini tube replaced independently when the tube has reached the end of its service life while the mask setup pack connectors and HumidX cartridges remain serviceable, avoiding full setup pack replacement when only the tube requires renewal
✓ Multi-destination travel kit — additional AirMini tube maintained as a dedicated component in a travel CPAP kit separate from the bedside home setup, preventing the need to transfer the primary tube between home and travel configurations

Very welcoming and informative. We went in to rent a Walker for my mom to see if she would use it. They had no rentals left so he gave us a brand new one on rental. Highly recommend this company for all your ADL needs.

Excellent experience - website faithfully represented what was in stock (which hasn't always been my experience with other vendors sadly), and local shipping was really fast - ordered on the weekend, received it on Monday in my case. Thank you for being
