• Do you fit compression stockings in-store?

  Yes. Our trained staff measure your ankle circumference, calf, and leg length to fit you with the correct size and compression level (15 mmHg up to 40+ mmHg). • Can you mold and fit EXOS hard splints?

  Yes. We provide in-store fitting and moulding of thermoplastic and moldable hard splints including EXOS braces — no wait for a separate orthotics lab. Commonly used for post-fracture, post-surgical, and complex orthopaedic conditions.

Incontinence

• Do you offer free incontinence product samples or trials?

  Yes. We provide product trials and free samples of incontinence briefs, pull-ups, liners, pads, and catheter options so you can find the right fit before purchasing. Our staff assist discreetly and professionally. Visit us or call 780-409-1509.

Hospital Beds & Large Equipment

• Do you deliver and install hospital beds at home?

  Yes. We deliver, assemble, and fully install homecare hospital beds throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. Our team handles rail installation, mattress fitting, and complete setup. We also assist with moving or relocating existing equipment.

• Do you deliver and set up lift chairs?

  Yes. We deliver lift chairs and power recliners to your home and demonstrate safe operation, remote use, and positioning. Contact us at 780-409-1509 to arrange delivery.

• Do you deliver power scooters and mobility equipment?

  Yes. We deliver power mobility scooters and provide hands-on training at your home. We carry compact travel, mid-size, full-size, and heavy-duty bariatric scooters (up to 500 lb capacity).

• Do you supply and set up patient lifts or Hoyer lifts?

  Yes. We supply floor lifts, Hoyer lifts, and patient transfer lifts and walk caregivers through proper sling sizing and safe transfer technique.

Bath Safety

• Do you supply and install grab bars and bathroom safety products?

  Yes. We supply grab bars, raised toilet seats, toilet safety frames, transfer benches, shower chairs, and floor-to-ceiling security poles. Our staff advise on the right products for your specific bathroom layout and mobility needs.

Insurance & Billing

• Do you direct bill AADL, WCB, or Veterans Affairs?

  Yes. Med Supplies is an authorized provider for AADL, NIHB, WCB, Veterans Affairs Canada, and Refugee health programs. We direct bill Green Shield Canada. For Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, and most major insurers, we provide detailed invoices for you to submit and get reimbursed. We handle the paperwork — making the process as easy as possible.

• Do I need a prescription or referral to purchase medical supplies?

  Many products are available without a prescription. However, AADL-funded items such as compression stockings, braces, and mobility aids typically require a completed AADL authorization form from your physician or nurse practitioner. Our staff can guide you through the process.
