Bedside bag pairs positive Luer-lock inlet with anti-reflux tower to prevent backflow. Smooth slide-tap outlet supports one-hand emptying. Bold graduations make output monitoring simple for post-op and extended drainage.

    • Why 2000 mL with Anti-Reflux for Facility Use

The 2-liter capacity provides optimal balance for overnight and moderate-output situations—large enough to reduce frequent emptying, yet manageable in weight when full. The anti-reflux tower delivers critical protection against urine backflow into the bladder, a key factor in preventing catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs). The 20-bag box format ensures efficient facility stocking.

      Key Features & Benefits

      • 2000 mL capacity with easy-read graduations for accurate monitoring
      • Anti-reflux tower helps minimize backflow into tubing
      • Luer-lock inlet provides firm, leak-resistant connection
      • Slide-tap drain enables controlled, one-handed emptying
      • Kink-resistant tubing supports steady flow
      • Bed-rail hooks and hanger strap included for proper positioning
      • Sampling/needleless port on tubing for aseptic samples (varies by model)
      • Latex-free, EO sterile, single-patient, single-use

      Clinical Applications

Appropriate for: ✓ Post-operative urinary management with moderate output
✓ Overnight drainage without excessive weight
✓ Intermediate-term catheterization in hospitals or facilities
✓ Acute care settings requiring regular output monitoring
✓ Post-surgical patients with Foley or suprapubic catheters
✓ Patients requiring manageable bag size for mobility
✓ Facilities focused on CAUTI prevention protocols

Usage & Application - Clinical Guidance

For Healthcare Professional Use: This drainage bag is intended for use by trained clinicians or under clinical direction following facility protocols.

      Setup & Connection:

      1. Verify bag is sterile and packaging is intact
      2. Remove from package using aseptic technique
      3. Connect catheter tubing to bag inlet via Luer-lock connection
      4. Twist to secure positive lock engagement
      5. Ensure anti-reflux tower is upright and functional
      6. Position bag below bladder level using bed-rail hooks or hanger
      7. Verify unobstructed flow from catheter to bag

      Positioning Requirements:

      • ALWAYS keep bag below bladder level to ensure gravity drainage
      • Secure to bed frame or IV pole below patient level
      • Avoid placing on floor (contamination risk)
      • Ensure tubing has no kinks or compression points
      • Maintain straight drainage path when possible

      Monitoring:

      • Check graduated scale regularly for output measurement
      • Document volumes per facility protocol
      • Empty when bag reaches ½ to ¾ full (approximately 1000-1500 mL)
      • Monitor for adequate flow and catheter patency
      • Inspect anti-reflux tower for proper function

      Emptying Procedure:

      1. Wash hands and don clean gloves
      2. Position receptacle below drain valve (avoid outlet contact)
      3. Open slide-tap valve to drain completely
      4. Close valve securely when empty
      5. Wipe outlet with alcohol prep
      6. Dispose of urine per facility protocol
      7. Remove gloves and perform hand hygiene

      Sampling (if port available):

      • Use needleless port for aseptic urine sampling
      • Follow facility protocol for specimen collection
      • Never disconnect catheter to obtain sample
      • Maintain closed system integrity

      Infection Prevention:

      • Maintain closed drainage system at all times
      • Never disconnect unless catheter replacement needed
      • Keep bag below bladder level continuously
      • Empty regularly to prevent overfilling and backpressure
      • Replace entire system per facility protocol (typically with catheter change)
