Usage/Application

For use only under the direction of a qualified clinician experienced in percutaneous gastrostomy tube management. The MIC-KEY® is a prescription device — it must be prescribed and the correct stoma length (3.5 cm) and French size (14 Fr) confirmed by measurement and clinical assessment before ordering. Confirm the correct stoma length at each tube change — using a tube with an incorrect stoma length can result in tube dislodgement, gastric wall injury, or stomal complications. The retention balloon should be inflated with sterile water per the product instructions — do not inflate with air. Tube replacement, initial placement, and any complication management should be carried out by or under the supervision of a clinician experienced in enteral access device management. Replace per the manufacturer's recommended schedule or when clinically indicated.
