SupremFit Maxi all-in-one brief with 4060 mL absorbency for heavy urinary and fecal incontinence. Lille Air System promotes breathability. Four resealable tabs for secure fit.

    • Why High-Absorbency Breathable Briefs for Heavy Incontinence

Heavy incontinence creates a dual challenge: products must contain large volumes of urine or fecal matter to prevent leaks and maintain dignity, yet traditional high-absorbency products often trap moisture against skin, creating hot, humid conditions that cause skin breakdown, fungal infections, and pressure ulcers. This is particularly critical for individuals with limited mobility who cannot reposition themselves or may wear the product for extended periods. The Lille Air System addresses this dilemma through breathable materials that allow air circulation while maintaining waterproof protection—moisture vapor escapes through the backing while liquids are locked inside the absorbent core. Combined with 4060 mL capacity (equivalent to nearly 1 gallon), these briefs provide overnight security, reduce change frequency, and protect vulnerable skin. For caregivers managing heavy incontinence in nursing homes, hospitals, or home care, maximum absorbency with breathability transforms an impossible situation into manageable, dignified care.

      Usage & Application

For individuals with heavy urinary and/or fecal incontinence requiring maximum absorbency and extended wear capability in home, hospital, or long-term care settings.

Sizing guide: X-Large fits waist/hip circumference 110-160 cm (43-63 inches). Measure around the fullest part of the hips/waist to determine proper size. The brief should fit snugly but not constrictively.

      For caregivers assisting with application:

      To apply (side-lying position):

      1. Gather supplies: SupremFit Maxi brief, cleansing wipes, barrier cream if needed, disposal bag
      2. Position the person on their side
      3. Unfold the brief completely—identify front (tape tabs) and back
      4. Tuck the brief lengthwise under the person, positioning the back half underneath them
      5. Roll the person back onto their back, over the brief
      6. Pull the front panel up between the legs, ensuring proper placement
      7. Smooth out any wrinkles or bunching
      8. Working from one side, attach the lower tape tab first, angling slightly upward
      9. Attach the upper tape tab, creating a secure fit
      10. Repeat on the opposite side
      11. Ensure anti-leak cuffs are standing up around legs, not tucked inward
      12. Check fit: should be snug but allow two fingers between brief and skin at waist

To apply (standing position for more mobile users):

      1. Unfold the brief completely
      2. Step into the brief as you would underwear
      3. Pull up to waist level, ensuring proper positioning
      4. Reach around to back and attach rear tape tabs to front panel
      5. Adjust for comfort and security
      6. Ensure leg cuffs are properly positioned

      Checking for proper fit:

      • Waistline sits at natural waist, not too high or low
      • Leg cuffs fit snugly in leg creases without gaps
      • No bunching or gaps at leg openings or waist
      • Comfortable movement without restriction
      • Tape tabs secure but not over-tightened

      During wear:

      • Check wetness indicator periodically (if equipped) or per routine schedule
      • Typical wear time: 6-12 hours depending on individual output
      • Maximum capacity: 4060 mL, but change before complete saturation
      • Monitor skin during routine checks for redness, irritation, or breakdown

      To remove and change:

      1. Tear away the tape tabs on both sides (non-resealable after removal for hygiene)
      2. Roll the person onto their side if lying down
      3. Fold the soiled brief inward on itself to contain contents
      4. Remove from under the person
      5. Cleanse skin thoroughly with wipes or wash with soap and water
      6. Pat skin completely dry—moisture invites breakdown
      7. Apply barrier cream if indicated for skin protection
      8. Allow skin to air briefly before applying fresh brief
      9. Seal soiled brief in disposal bag and discard per facility protocols

      Skin care considerations:

      • Change promptly after bowel movements—even high-absorbency briefs should not remain after fecal soiling
      • Cleanse and dry skin thoroughly at each change
      • Apply barrier cream or ointment to protect skin from moisture
      • Allow brief-free time daily if possible for skin exposure to air
      • Monitor for signs of incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD): redness, irritation, breakdown

Storage: Keep briefs in cool, dry location. Reseal packaging after opening to maintain product integrity.

Disposal: Roll used brief tightly and secure with tape tabs. Place in disposal bag and discard in regular waste (not toilet). Follow facility protocols for infectious waste if applicable.
