Medium Long Sizing

For the SIGVARIS Style Soft Opaque 840 family, Medium sizing corresponds to an ankle circumference of approximately 21.5–25.5 cm (8.5–10") and calf circumference of approximately 31.5–45 cm (12.5–17.5"). The Long option is for a calf length greater than 41 cm (16"). Use the current SIGVARIS sizing chart for the complete pantyhose measurements, including hip and leg length.

Do not select a compression garment by height or shoe size alone. Measure according to the manufacturer's sizing instructions.

Usage, Fit & Care Information

Put compression hosiery on in the morning when swelling is generally lower, following the manufacturer's fitting instructions. Smooth the garment evenly and avoid folds, wrinkles or bunching.

Do not roll the garment down because this can create a concentrated band of pressure. Follow the current SIGVARIS washing and drying instructions and avoid bleach, fabric softener and excessive heat unless specifically permitted.

Inspect regularly for holes, runs, loss of elasticity or other damage. Replace when the garment no longer maintains its intended compression or cannot be fitted correctly.

Medical-use note: 20–30 mmHg is a firm compression level. Customers with significant arterial circulation problems, unexplained swelling, acute leg pain, skin infection or other relevant conditions should obtain appropriate clinical guidance before using firm compression.
