Baxter Lactated Ringer's Injection USP (250 mL, VIAFLEX) is a compact sterile balanced IV solution for controlled fluid and electrolyte replacement. Sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, and lactate support hydration and acid-base balance.

The 250 mL volume of Lactated Ringer's addresses the clinical situations where a full 500 mL or 1 L bag would provide more fluid than is indicated — and where precise volume control is clinically important. Paediatric patients, fluid-restricted patients, post-operative patients where fluid overload is a risk, and patients requiring a carrier fluid for IV medication dilution are all examples where the 250 mL format provides better volume management without requiring manual measurement or partial bag administration. The balanced electrolyte composition of Lactated Ringer's — sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, and lactate — at an osmolarity of approximately 273 mOsm/L provides near-physiological fluid replacement that reduces the hyperchloraemic acidosis risk associated with high-volume normal saline. Lactate is metabolised by the liver to bicarbonate, providing mild acid-base buffering that supports pH stability during administration. Baxter's VIAFLEX flexible IV bag is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, preservative-free closed system ready for direct IV administration. The 250 mL volume also makes it appropriate for medication dilution where a smaller volume carrier fluid is clinically preferred over a larger bag.
Paediatric patients requiring controlled volume IV fluid administration where a 250 mL bag provides appropriate volume titration for smaller body weights
Fluid-restricted patients — cardiac failure, renal impairment, or post-operative fluid restriction — where a 250 mL bag allows precise volume delivery without excess
IV medication dilution as a carrier fluid where a smaller volume is clinically preferred over a 500 mL or 1 L bag
Post-operative maintenance hydration where controlled volume fluid delivery reduces the risk of inadvertent fluid overload during recovery
Mild dehydration management where the clinical fluid deficit does not warrant a full 500 mL replacement volume
Emergency and urgent care settings where a small-volume balanced crystalloid is needed for rapid IV access or drug delivery in a controlled volume

Very welcoming and informative. We went in to rent a Walker for my mom to see if she would use it. They had no rentals left so he gave us a brand new one on rental. Highly recommend this company for all your ADL needs.

Excellent experience - website faithfully represented what was in stock (which hasn't always been my experience with other vendors sadly), and local shipping was really fast - ordered on the weekend, received it on Monday in my case. Thank you for being
