Loading…
This catheter is built for adult female users on a clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) routine who have been clinically directed to a straight tip catheter at 14Fr calibre with a female-length 6" shaft and without a connector at the proximal end. Female-length catheters are significantly shorter than male catheters (6" vs 16") — because the female urethra is much shorter than the male urethra, female catheters only need to cover the female urethral passage. Using a male-length catheter for female catheterisation introduces excessive external catheter length to manage. Self-Cath is Coloplast's intermittent catheter product line — Coloplast lists Self-Cath catheters as PVC construction with smooth fire-polished eyelets (drainage holes are heat-finished to remove sharp edges that could traumatise the urethral mucosa during insertion or removal) and siliconized surface (a silicone-based lubrication treatment applied to the catheter surface for smoother insertion without requiring separate hydrophilic activation). Not made with natural rubber latex — safe for latex-allergic users. The without-connector format provides a compact catheter without the proximal funnel/connector that some users find unnecessary or prefer to omit for compact handling. 14Fr is a commonly used adult female calibre. 6" female length covers the female urethral passage. Single catheter format suits individual trial, replacement, or specific case-by-case use. Coloplast is a Danish-origin ostomy and continence care manufacturer with a long-standing position in intermittent catheter and continence product design.

Very welcoming and informative. We went in to rent a Walker for my mom to see if she would use it. They had no rentals left so he gave us a brand new one on rental. Highly recommend this company for all your ADL needs.
