Durahesive swelling hydrocolloid with CONVEX-IT shape for secure seal on flush or retracted stomas. Pre-sized 1-1/2″ opening with 2-1/4″ flange for SUR-FIT two-piece pouches.

    • Why Choose ConvaTec Sur-Fit Durahesive Wafer with Convex-It

The Sur-Fit Durahesive Wafer with Convex-It is the ConvaTec Sur-Fit system's convex barrier option — providing the inward pressure that flush and mildly recessed stomas require to achieve adequate seal geometry. The Convex-It design is a gentle to moderate convex profile integrated directly into the Durahesive wafer rather than achieved with a separate insert, providing a one-component convex solution that maintains the barrier's body-conforming flexibility without the rigidity of separate convex inserts. Durahesive is ConvaTec's established extended-wear hydrocolloid barrier formulation — the same adhesive system used across the Esteem and Natura product ranges — known for its output erosion resistance at the aperture zone, which is particularly relevant for the flush stoma profile that Convex-It targets: flush stomas are more commonly ileostomy or high-output colostomy presentations where liquid output in continuous contact with the barrier accelerates standard adhesive degradation. The 1-1/2 inch pre-sized opening is appropriate for users with a stable confirmed stoma diameter at or near this size — providing consistent aperture sizing at each change without the variability of hand-cutting. 2-1/4 inch flange for compatible Sur-Fit 2-piece pouches. Consult a stoma care nurse before initiating convex barrier use. 10 per box.

      Key Features

✔ Convex-It convex barrier for flush and mildly recessed stoma seal improvement

✔ Durahesive hydrocolloid extended-wear adhesive for output erosion resistance

✔ 1-1/2 inch pre-sized stoma opening — consistent aperture without cutting

✔ 2-1/4 inch flange for compatible ConvaTec Sur-Fit 2-piece pouches

✔ 2-piece system allows pouch changes while wafer remains in place

✔ 10 per box — stoma care nurse assessment required before convex use

      Benefits

✔ Convex-It provides integrated convex inward pressure for flush stoma seal geometry

✔ Durahesive adhesive resists output erosion for longer wear between changes

✔ Pre-sized 1-1/2 inch opening provides consistent aperture at every barrier change

✔ 2-piece format allows independent pouch and wafer change scheduling

✔ ConvaTec Sur-Fit system compatibility for established Sur-Fit users

      Clinical & Typical Applications

✔ Flush or mildly recessed colostomy or ileostomy requiring convex barrier at 1-1/2 inch diameter

✔ Sur-Fit 2-piece system users requiring extended-wear convex wafer option

✔ Ileostomy with flush stoma and liquid output requiring Durahesive erosion resistance

✔ Stable stoma at 1-1/2 inch diameter confirmed by stoma nurse measurement

✔ Users transitioning from flat Durahesive wafer when seal failure indicates convexity need

      Usage & Care

Confirm convexity is clinically appropriate with a stoma care nurse before use. Confirm stoma measurement at or near 1-1/2 inch before applying pre-sized wafer. Apply to clean, dry peristomal skin and press firmly from the stoma outward. Attach compatible Sur-Fit 2-1/4 inch pouch. Change every 3–5 days or when lifting, leaking, or skin changes are observed. Consult a stoma care nurse for wear-time guidance and peristomal skin assessment.
