Usage/Application

For use by individuals performing intermittent catheterization as directed by a prescribing clinician or urologist. Activate the hydrophilic coating by exposing the catheter to water per the product instructions before insertion — do not insert without activating the coating. Use the orientation control stripe on the coudé tip to confirm and maintain tip orientation (typically upward) throughout insertion per the catheterization technique. The coudé tip is typically used when a straight-tip catheter has been difficult to pass — confirm the appropriate tip type with the prescribing clinician. Single-use — discard after use and do not reuse. Use aseptic or clean technique per the care plan and clinician's instructions.
