The 360-degree rotating PivotBar on tension-mount pole delivers tool-free installation for 7-10 foot ceilings while eight locking positions and 300-pound capacity provide stable customizable transfer support beside beds, toilets and chairs.

The PivotBar's complete rotation capability with eight distinct 45-degree locking positions allows users to position the grab bar precisely where support is needed during transfers from beds, toilets, recliners, or chairs. This customizable positioning reduces caregiver strain during assisted transfers while enabling independent users to establish stable handhold points throughout their movement path. The tension-mount design eliminates drilling or permanent modifications, making the system ideal for rental properties, assisted living facilities, or homes where structural changes are prohibited or undesired.
✓ Post-operative orthopedic recovery (hip replacement, knee replacement, spinal surgery)
✓ Stroke survivors with hemiparesis requiring asymmetric positioning
✓ Parkinson's disease patients with gait freezing episodes
✓ Multiple sclerosis with progressive mobility decline
✓ Age-related balance impairment and fall prevention
✓ Arthritis patients with weight-bearing joint pain
✓ Post-hospitalization deconditioning and rehabilitation
✓ Cardiac patients with activity restrictions during recovery
✓ Respiratory conditions requiring frequent position changes
✓ Temporary mobility assistance following injury or illness
✓ Progressive neurological conditions requiring staged support
✓ Bedside transfer assistance for overnight bathroom trips
✓ Toilet transfer support for users with lower extremity weakness
✓ Chair and recliner transfers for users with sitting-to-standing difficulty
Installation Protocol: Select installation location with flat, stable ceiling and floor surfaces capable of supporting tension load. Measure ceiling height to confirm within 84-120 inch range. Extend pole to appropriate length using adjustment mechanism. Position floor plate where desired, ensuring rubber pad contacts floor completely. Raise pole vertically and position ceiling plate against ceiling, ensuring rubber pad contacts surface. Activate tension mechanism by rotating compression collar clockwise until pole is firmly secured between floor and ceiling with no movement when moderate force is applied. Test stability by applying downward pressure on pole before attaching PivotBar. Verify pole remains absolutely stable under 50-pound downward force.
PivotBar Attachment & Positioning: Slide PivotBar mounting bracket onto installed pole at desired height (typically 30-36 inches from floor for most transfers, adjustable based on user height and transfer point). Tighten PivotBar mounting collar securely so bar does not slide down pole under user weight. Position bar angle for primary transfer point (bedside, toilet, or chair) by lifting bar slightly to disengage locking mechanism, rotating to desired 45-degree position, and releasing to lock. Test locking function by attempting to move bar without lifting—it should remain absolutely stable.
Transfer Technique Training: Position user's wheelchair, walker, or mobility device at transfer destination. Instruct user to grip 14-inch grab bar with both hands or dominant hand depending on transfer approach. For sit-to-stand transfers, user leans forward, grips bar, and pulls while pushing up with legs. For stand-to-sit transfers, user maintains grip while slowly lowering into seated position using controlled descent. For pivoting transfers (bed to wheelchair), user grips bar for stability while rotating body 90-180 degrees. Practice transfers with supervision until user demonstrates confidence and proper technique.
Multi-Location Configuration: For bedside use, position PivotBar 12-18 inches from bed edge at mattress height to assist with lying-to-sitting and sitting-to-standing transitions. For toilet use, position bar 6-12 inches to user's dominant side at height enabling comfortable grip when seated. For chair/recliner use, position bar at armrest height on approach side. Adjust bar angle to accommodate user's natural grip position and transfer path. Document optimal positions for each location to ensure consistency during repositioning.
Height Adjustment Protocol: If user height changes (footwear variations, wheelchair vs. ambulation) or different transfer points require different PivotBar heights, loosen mounting collar on pole, slide PivotBar assembly to new height, and retighten securely. Always test stability after height adjustment by applying 50-pound downward force before user attempts transfer.
Maintenance & Safety Monitoring: Inspect tension-mount stability weekly by attempting to move pole with moderate force—pole should not shift, wobble, or rotate. Check rubber pads monthly for wear, cracking, or deformation; replace if compromised. Clean grab bar and pole surfaces weekly with mild soap and water; avoid harsh solvents that may damage antimicrobial finish. Inspect PivotBar locking mechanism monthly to ensure positive engagement at all eight positions. Test lift-to-unlock function regularly to confirm smooth operation. Monitor floor and ceiling surfaces monthly for any signs of pressure damage or finish deterioration; adjust tension if marks develop.
User Weight & Capability Assessment: Confirm user weight does not exceed 300-pound capacity before initial use. Assess user's grip strength to ensure ability to maintain handhold during transfers—users with severe arthritis or tremor may require caregiver assistance even with pole support. Evaluate user's cognitive function to ensure ability to remember proper transfer technique and PivotBar positioning. For users with progressive conditions, reassess capability monthly and implement additional supports as needed.
Relocation & Removal: To relocate unit, rotate tension compression collar counterclockwise to release tension gradually. Remove carefully, supporting pole to prevent sudden release. Inspect rubber pads after removal; clean any debris before reinstallation. Store in dry location if not immediately reinstalled. To remove permanently, follow same tension release process and store all components together for potential future use.

Very welcoming and informative. We went in to rent a Walker for my mom to see if she would use it. They had no rentals left so he gave us a brand new one on rental. Highly recommend this company for all your ADL needs.
