This New Image™ drainable pouch features clamp-free Lock 'n Roll™ closure and 2¾″ coupling for secure attachment to 70mm barriers—delivering comfortable, discreet wear with simplified emptying.

    • Why Choose New Image™ 2¾″ (70mm) System

The 2¾″ (70mm) coupling size sits between the smaller 2¼″ (57mm) and larger 3½″ (89mm) options, providing a balanced choice for medium to large stomas. This size offers a wider adhesive surface area than smaller couplings (more secure seal) while remaining more compact than the largest options (better under clothing). Combined with the convenient Lock 'n Roll™ clamp-free closure, this pouch streamlines ostomy care without sacrificing security or capacity.

      Key Features & Benefits

      • Lock 'n Roll™ microseal tail—innovative clamp-free closure that folds and seals without external clips or clamps
      • 2¾″ (70 mm) New Image™ coupling snaps securely to all New Image™ 70mm barriers (flat/convex; Flextend®/CeraPlus™)
      • 12″ (MAXI) length provides higher capacity for fewer daytime empties
      • Available in multiple configurations:
        • Transparent or beige film options
        • With filter (odor control) or without filter (liquid output management)
      • Quiet, low-rustle film with soft comfort panel on body side for discreet, comfortable wear
      • Two-piece system convenience—change pouches multiple times daily without disturbing the barrier
      • Latex-free construction; sterile, single-patient use

      Lock 'n Roll™ Clamp-Free Advantage

Traditional drainable pouches require external clamps that can be:

      • Bulky and visible under clothing
      • Easy to lose or misplace
      • Difficult to manipulate with limited dexterity
      • Uncomfortable against skin

Lock 'n Roll™ eliminates clamps entirely with an integrated microseal:

      1. To empty: Unfold the tail downward
      2. To close: Fold tail upward 3-4 times, then roll the integrated seal to secure
      3. Result: Clean, secure closure with no extra parts to buy, carry, or lose

      Clinical Applications

      Ideal For:

      • Colostomy/ileostomy patients with medium to large stomas requiring 70mm coupling
      • Users transitioning from smaller systems who need more adhesive surface area
      • Patients wanting Lock 'n Roll™ convenience without clamp management
      • Active individuals needing secure, discreet wear under varied clothing
      • Facilities stocking a mid-size coupling option between 57mm and 89mm

      Choosing Your Configuration:

      Filter vs. No Filter:

      • With filter: Best for formed/semi-formed output; automatic gas release with odor control
      • Without filter: Best for liquid/semi-liquid output that would clog filters; manual gas control

      Transparent vs. Beige:

      • Transparent: Allows output monitoring without pouch removal; ideal for post-op, teaching, assessment
      • Beige: Opaque coverage for confident discretion; doesn't show output visibility

      Usage & Application

      Attaching the Pouch:

      1. Ensure your New Image™ 2¾″ (70mm) barrier is properly adhered to clean, dry skin
      2. Align the pouch coupling ring with the barrier flange
      3. Press firmly around the entire ring until you feel secure engagement
      4. Gently tug the pouch to verify it's locked in place

      Emptying with Lock 'n Roll™:

      1. Empty when pouch is ⅓ to ½ full (don't wait until completely full)
      2. Sit on toilet; hold pouch end between legs
      3. Unroll the Lock 'n Roll™ tail by unfolding the seal
      4. Allow contents to drain completely into toilet
      5. Wipe the inside and outside of tail clean with toilet paper
      6. Fold tail upward 3-4 times, then roll the integrated seal to secure
      7. Confirm tight seal by gentle pressure test

      Managing Gas:

      • With filter: Gas releases automatically through filter; no action needed (filter may clog with liquid output)
      • Without filter: "Burp" pouch manually by slightly opening tail over toilet to release gas

      Pouch Wear Time:

      • Typical wear: 1-2 days per pouch (depends on output type and personal preference)
      • Change more frequently if:
        • Lock 'n Roll™ seal becomes difficult to maintain
        • Filter becomes saturated (if applicable)
        • Pouch shows signs of wear, odor, or damage
      • Monitor barrier condition—change barrier per usual schedule (3-7 days typical)

      2¾″ (70mm) Coupling Size Context

Understanding where this size fits in the New Image™ system:

Coupling Size Best For Typical Stoma Size
      1¾″ (45mm) Smaller stomas Up to ~1″ (25mm)
      2¼″ (57mm) Standard stomas Up to ~1½″ (38mm)
      2¾″ (70mm) Medium-large stomas Up to ~2½″ (64mm)
      3½″ (89mm) Large stomas Up to ~4″ (102mm)
      4″ (102mm) Extra-large stomas Up to ~4″+

The 70mm size is ideal when:

      • Your stoma is larger than 1½″ but doesn't require the largest couplings
      • You want more adhesive surface than 57mm provides
      • You prefer a more compact profile than 89mm or 102mm options
