      Usage/Application

Ideal for toddler users who need forearm crutches for walking assistance, rehabilitation, injury recovery, balance support, reduced lower-body weight bearing, or daily mobility. Confirm the weight capacity and the child's height range by SKU, and reassess the fit over time as the child grows. Set both crutches to the same height so the hand grips sit at the wrist crease with a slight bend in the elbow, and position the half cuffs around the upper forearm below the elbow so they are secure without being too high or tight. Body weight should be carried through the hands rather than the cuffs, and because half cuffs release more easily than full cuffs they hold the arm less securely, so supervise accordingly. Check that the rubber tips are intact and replace them when worn to maintain traction. As forearm crutches need coordination and balance and pediatric gait training is usually clinically guided, have a physiotherapist or occupational therapist confirm sizing, cuff fit, and safe technique, with supervised practice before regular use.
