      Usage/Application

Ideal for users who can partially weight-bear but need caregiver assistance with standing, turning, and repositioning between a bed, chair, wheelchair, toilet, or other nearby surface. Confirm the weight capacity by SKU and that the user is suitable for a pivot transfer: the disc is for people who can bear some weight and follow instructions, not for fully dependent or non-weight-bearing users, who need a lift and sling instead. Place the disc on a firm, flat, non-slip floor with the surfaces close together and any wheelchair brakes locked, then have the user stand with both feet centred on the disc while the caregiver guides the turn using good body mechanics, often with a transfer belt for control. Do not use on stairs, slopes, or uneven ground, and inspect the non-slip surfaces, replacing the disc if they wear. Have an occupational therapist or physiotherapist confirm suitability and safe transfer technique before regular use.
