Soft Convex drainable pouch delivers gentle support for flush/retracted stomas with Maxi capacity and wide outlet for efficient emptying. Cut-to-fit 10–55 mm opening allows precise customization. Integrated filter controls odor. Box of 10

    • Why Soft Convex for Flush or Retracted Stomas

Soft Convex technology provides gentle, targeted pressure around the stoma to improve adhesive contact and sealing without the aggressive firmness of deep convex products. This is ideal for flush or slightly retracted stomas that need support to achieve proper adhesion but where rigid convexity would be uncomfortable. The elastic SenSura Mio adhesive works with the soft convex shape to follow body movements while maintaining secure attachment, reducing leak risk while prioritizing comfort for all-day wear.

      Key Features & Benefits

      • Soft Convex adhesive provides gentle support for improved sealing on flush/retracted stomas
      • Wide-outlet drainable design allows faster, easier emptying of thicker output
      • Maxi capacity pouch supports extended wear and high-output management
      • Cut-to-Fit 10–55 mm opening provides precise customization for broader stoma size range
      • Integrated filter minimizes odor and reduces ballooning throughout wear time
      • Elastic SenSura Mio adhesive adapts to body movement and contours
      • Neutral grey textile cover offers discretion and reduces rustling noise
      • Low-profile design conforms naturally to body shape
      • 1-piece system simplifies application and removal
      • Skin-friendly materials reduce irritation risk

      Clinical Applications

      Appropriate for:

✓ Colostomy or ileostomy patients with flush or mildly retracted stomas ✓ Moderate to high output requiring frequent emptying ✓ Patients experiencing leakage with flat/regular adhesives ✓ Active users needing secure seal during movement ✓ Extended wear situations (day or overnight use) ✓ Patients requiring customizable stoma opening (10–55 mm range including larger stomas) ✓ Users seeking balance between support and comfort ✓ Situations where deep/rigid convexity causes discomfort

Important: Soft convex is designed for flush or slightly retracted stomas. Deeply retracted stomas or severe skin folds may require deep/rigid convex products. Consult with ostomy nurse for proper product selection.

Usage & Application - Patient Guidance

For Ostomy Pouch Application Under Healthcare Provider Direction: This 1-piece drainable pouch system is designed for colostomy or ileostomy management as instructed by your healthcare provider or ostomy nurse. Proper training ensures safe, effective use.

      Preparation:

      • Gather all supplies: new pouch, scissors, measuring guide, skin barrier wipes/spray if prescribed, disposal bag
      • Remove and dispose of used pouch carefully
      • Clean stoma and peristomal skin gently with warm water
      • Pat skin completely dry before applying new pouch
      • Measure stoma size using measuring guide (stomas can change size over time)

      Cutting & Sizing:

      • This is a cut-to-fit pouch accommodating stomas 10–55 mm
      • Trace stoma measurement onto white cutting guide on back of adhesive
      • Cut opening approximately 1/8" (2–3 mm) larger than stoma size
      • Cutting too small can damage stoma; too large risks skin exposure to output
      • Ensure smooth, clean cuts with no jagged edges
      • Re-measure stoma monthly or if body weight changes significantly

      Application Technique:

      • Remove protective paper backing from adhesive
      • Warm adhesive between hands for 30 seconds to improve adherence
      • Center opening over stoma while standing or in preferred position
      • Apply from bottom up to avoid air pockets
      • Press adhesive firmly, starting at stoma and working outward
      • The soft convex shape should provide gentle support around stoma
      • Hold pressure for 30–60 seconds to ensure secure seal
      • Check that entire adhesive edge is well-sealed
      • Ensure pouch outlet is closed/clamped before use

      Emptying the Pouch:

      • Empty pouch when 1/3 to 1/2 full to prevent weight pulling on seal
      • For high output, empty more frequently
      • Wide outlet design facilitates easier drainage of thicker output
      • Sit on toilet or position over receptacle
      • Open outlet clamp carefully
      • For thick output, you may need to massage pouch gently
      • Wipe outlet clean with toilet tissue
      • Close clamp securely after emptying
      • Never let pouch become more than 2/3 full

      Filter Maintenance:

      • Integrated filter helps control odor and reduces ballooning
      • Filter works automatically during wear
      • Avoid getting filter wet during showering (cover with filter sticker if provided)
      • Wet filters lose effectiveness
      • Filter does not eliminate need for regular emptying

      Changing Schedule:

      • Change pouch every 3–5 days or as recommended by your ostomy nurse
      • Change sooner if leakage occurs or adhesive begins lifting
      • Never wear same pouch longer than recommended
      • Maxi capacity supports extended wear between changes
      • Monitor skin condition at each change

      Skin Care:

      • Inspect peristomal skin at each pouch change
      • Healthy skin should match surrounding skin color
      • Report redness, irritation, breakdown, or changes to healthcare provider
      • Output should not contact skin outside stoma
      • Use prescribed skin barriers or protective products as directed
      • Keep skin clean and dry between changes

When to Contact Healthcare Provider or Ostomy Nurse:

      • Persistent leakage despite proper application
      • Skin redness, irritation, rash, or breakdown around stoma
      • Stoma bleeding beyond slight spotting during cleaning
      • Change in stoma color (should be pink/red and moist)
      • Stoma size change requiring different opening size
      • Unusual output changes (color, consistency, odor, amount)
      • Signs of infection (fever, increased pain, unusual discharge)
      • Difficulty achieving secure seal
      • Questions about proper pouch selection or application
