Usage & Application

Sizing & Preparation:

1. Measure stoma diameter carefully using measuring guide
2. Trace and cut opening up to 2″ (51mm) to match stoma size
3. Cut should be approximately 2-3mm larger than stoma diameter
4. Ensure all edges are smooth to prevent skin irritation

Application:

1. Clean and dry peristomal skin thoroughly
2. Warm barrier between hands for 30-60 seconds to activate adhesive
3. Remove protective backing from CeraPlus hydrocolloid surface
4. Center opening over stoma with soft convex side against skin
5. Apply from bottom up, pressing firmly for 30 seconds
6. Smooth tape border for secure edge adhesion
7. Press hand against barrier for additional heat activation

Pouch Attachment:

1. Align pouch's snap ring with 70mm wafer coupling
2. Press firmly around entire ring until secure snap
3. Visually verify connection all around
4. Gently tug to confirm locked position

Monitoring & Replacement:

• Check skin regularly for any pressure-related irritation
• Replace barrier per routine schedule or when adhesion weakens
• Typical wear time: 3-5 days depending on output and skin condition

Removal:

• Support skin with one hand while gently peeling barrier
• Tape border allows for gentler removal
• Remove slowly to minimize skin trauma
• Clean any residue with appropriate adhesive remover
