ProBasics Full-Electric Hospital Bed with Mattress and Rail Options
The ProBasics PBFEB provides powered head, knee and bed-height adjustment for homecare. Choose an Aruba-200 mattress or no mattress, then select half rails, full rails or no rails. Your selected configuration determines what is included.

Every option includes the PBFEB bed, head and foot ends, motor system, wired hand control, casters and emergency height-adjustment crank. Mattress and rails are included only when selected below. The six configurations match the options above.

Photos may show an assembled configuration or optional accessories. Match the mattress and rail selections to your order. Sheets, overbed tables and a 9V emergency-backup battery are sold separately.
Practical features

- Two locking and two non-locking casters; scratch-resistant head and foot ends.
- Manual emergency height-adjustment crank and 9V emergency-backup provision. The battery is not included; emergency operation is not intended for routine use.

The 450 lb figure is a total-load rating, not a user-weight rating. Selecting no mattress does not increase the bed's user-weight limit.
Aruba-200 mattress option
The Aruba-200 has a single-layer sculptured foam core with three support areas for the head and shoulders, torso and lower extremities. Its stretch-nylon cover, waterfall zipper and reinforced non-slip underside support everyday homecare use. Follow the supplied mattress instructions for cleaning and inspection.
If you choose no mattress, arrange a compatible mattress before the bed is used. Confirm its size, capacity and fit with the bed and selected rails.
Before ordering
- Measure doorways, room access and space around the bed for caregivers and other equipment.
- Confirm the installed deck height and finished mattress-top height for the user's transfer needs. Published minimum and maximum heights use different caster configurations.
- Review mattress and rail suitability with the care team. Ask Med Supplies to confirm availability, delivery and setup arrangements for your address.
Setup, care and safe use
Have trained personnel assemble the bed and demonstrate its controls. Follow the instructions supplied with the bed, mattress and rails. Lock the locking casters when the bed is stationary, including during transfers, and keep cords, bedding and limbs clear of moving parts.
Bed rails require an individual suitability and entrapment assessment. Rails are not restraints and do not replace monitoring. Recheck mattress fit and rail gaps whenever components or the user's needs change.
Inspect the frame, electrical cords, caster locks and any fitted rails regularly. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions and disconnect power before cleaning or servicing. Do not use damaged equipment.
