The Exos Wrist Brace with BOA® is a thermoformable wrist-stabilization system designed specifically for the right wrist. It may be used to support stable wrist fractures and control wrist movement following certain carpal, ligament and soft-tissue injuries when prescribed and professionally fitted by a healthcare provider.

The brace may be appropriate for injuries involving the lunate, pisiform or triquetral carpal bones, scapholunate dislocations, triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tears, radiocarpal ligament injuries and minimally displaced or stable distal-radius or distal-styloid fractures.

Its thermoformable construction allows a qualified healthcare professional to shape and customize the brace to the patient's wrist and forearm. The BOA® Fit System provides micro-adjustable circumferential compression using a dial-based closure.

Openings around the base of the thumb and across the palmar crease help preserve functional hand movement without sacrificing wrist stability. A detachable nylon strap across the thumb web space provides adjustable distal control and helps secure the brace.

Fitting and Application

This model is intended only for the right wrist. Correct sizing, thermoforming and application should be completed by a qualified healthcare professional who is trained in fitting Exos braces.

To loosen the BOA® system, lift the dial and pull the release tab. To close and tighten the brace, press the dial down and turn it clockwise. The dial must remain in the locked-down position while the brace is being worn.

The brace should feel secure but must not be excessively tight. Leave sufficient room for comfortable circulation and limited finger movement as directed by the fitting professional.

Discontinue use and contact a healthcare professional if pain, swelling, numbness, tingling, skin irritation, discolouration, circulation changes or discomfort increases.

Care Instructions

• Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions.
• Keep the skin beneath the brace clean and dry.
• Do not allow moisture to remain trapped between the brace and skin.
• Dry both the skin and brace thoroughly after exposure to water.
• Do not heat, trim or remould the brace without professional guidance.
